Dining options and fun abound – from The District to the coast.

Set in the heart of Orange County, The District at Tustin Legacy is an exciting new addition to the city of Tustin. It is creating a vibrant destination for a growing community. Among some of the many great restaurant attractions that it has to offer are Ra Sushi, The Auld Dubliner, Redbrick Pizza and Chaparosa Grill. And, opening at The District this summer, an exciting, modern new bowling alley called Strike.

Vessia Ristorante in Irvine serves authentic regional Italian cuisine in a comfortable, contemporary setting. The menu features traditional items such as pasta, risotto, fish, meat and fowl. Come enjoy the best Korean barbecue in Southern California, cooked with real charcoal on a gas grill built into your own marble table. JACKshrimp in Newport Beach has finished a downstairs remodel and is now serving lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. With a taste of New Orleans right here in Orange County, you are sure to enjoy this menu of Louisiana-style dishes. Sage on the Coast will host a wine tasting on the patio with friend and resident wine expert Ian Hill from Young’s Market on the second Saturday of each month. The cost is $30 per person, and tasting begins at 2:30 p.m. Also, join Sage Creative American Cuisine every third Thursday for afternoon tea in Eastbluff. Enjoy fresh scones, cookies, petit-fours, crustless cucumber-watercress sandwiches and more. The cost is $20 per person, and tea is served at 2 p.m.

WaSa Sushi at The Market Place, one of Orange County’s most popular sushi restaurants, has reopened after a complete remodel.  The 7-year-old restaurant has an updated look and new selections on the menu. The revised menu has the favorites WaSa is known for, in addition to new items, including lunch specials for less than $10. WaSa Sushi is open daily for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m.  On Friday and Saturday, the restaurant is open until 10 p.m.

The Veggie Grill will open its third location at the Irvine Spectrum. The Veggie Grill recently celebrated a milestone, serving its 200,000th meal. The new Veggie Grill was designed by Stephen Francis Jones, an award-winning architect who designed the legendary Spago, Beverly Hills; Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood and Chicago; Chinois on Main in Santa Monica; and The Daily Grill restaurants. El Misti Authentic Peruvian Cuisine in Anaheim was started by Hilda Copara. Hockey star and Stanley Cup winner Joe Di Penta of the Anaheim Ducks will set his sights on preparing a massive lasagna dinner at the world famous Anaheim White House on Friday, June 19, beginning at 5 p.m.  Helping serve the dinner will be some of his Anaheim Ducks teammates. All of the proceeds will go to charity.
