To tie in with the release of "Julie & Julia," Brasserie Pascal at Fashion Island and the Anaheim White House are this month offering a culinary tribute to Julia Child.
“Julie and Julia” chronicles the story of two women whose lives revolve around food. Played by Oscar-nominee Amy Adams, Julie Powell is the blogger who wrote “Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes.” Two-time Oscar-winner Meryl Streep portrays the famed chef Julia Child, whose memoir "My Life in France” is the inspiration behind the storyline. The plot follows the two, who are separated by time but united in their love of gastronomy.
"Julia Child is very special to me for a few reasons, with one being that we share the same passion for French cuisine," says Pascal Olhats, chef-owner of Brasserie Pascal.
Guests can opt for a three-course dinner for $40 per person – it does not include the second course – or a four-course dinner for $55 per person.
